I used my "burrito/scrape" save, I have 5 sets of the disks. All I had to do was touch the set " twice " and got the canister and seat. Took about 5-10 mins to unlock and print. Fyi I think we will be getting a larger rover that the seat will fit on and we will still have drill and paver. Imagine how much better you could see to drill/paver.. Maybe wrong, but would be cool and would make sense for that LARGE parking station thing.. Good luck

The title is called how to play astroneer but all you did was describe what you are doing and not how to do it what I'm looking for is how to do the things that you are doing. Other than that nice video

Hey mate. When traps break, press B for build menu, top right click disassemble, then look at trap and select F. Then exit menu or hit I for inventory, it places a new trap back into your inventory. Right click on trap to use and replace back on ground. Nice little hack that saves mountains of wood.

I love the simplicity of this game, I feel like every single time that I put the game down. I can come back and have just as much fun with this game that I did the first time I picked it up.

You don't need a mod anymore. Select your world in the load game menu, then select World. You can now set Portals to Unrestricted if you wish, along with other settings to change, such as making it so you keep equipped items when you die.

Interesting that you skipped domesticated farm animals. I would recommend that people keep just a few because if people make meat their main source of food you'll forever be trying to catch up because the animals will need feeding and watering very regularly.

Great content. Picked up Astroneer with my two boys and we're bonding over it. Great sandbox game. Our base is set up with 2 large turbines, several medium solar panels, and a small battery bank with about 10 batteries. More than enough to grow into. I've noticed the max output on the power switch is 30 units? Is that that game's natural limit, or maybe the switch is limiting the throughput?

Why can’t the condenser auto pull the gas from the medium gas canister when it’s attached to the same platform. Seems odd to have to use an auto arm.

Ive tried and tried to connect truck cargo to train stations and it never works for me.

This is not working for me. The car says trys to continue forward instead of reversing directions the end points. EDIT: for anyone with this issue. The station didn't have an endpoint and no junction past it. Moving the station a bit made it reform the end points.

Today I had a dream at the verge of awaking. I opened a "steam page" or some alternate game hub where all the games had their titles appear dynamically as your mouse hovered over them. One was named "Unconventions" or so, and some of the trailers and preview images had a whole base module with clear-glass walls showing the interior next to a spacecraft or something, with a unique astroneer suit/skin (nothing atypical,) another had a giant what i assume to be a back-view of a giant vehicle/crane bigger than the previous designs with the exo dynamics blue strip color scheme, another had an astroneer harvest some kind of purple-ish gas with the terrain-tool. I identified it as "astroneer" as I scrolled down one of their slogans which rhymed or spelt similarly to their original name, and there I saw some grayscale astroneer model. Now, it is a dream, (i woke up after,) but that led me to this moment posting this comment thinking; I just came here as of now because of it. It is the year 2024, not the 25th century where we run around with space vacuum cleaners sucking up compound and resin surface deposits, and it is during a time of strife, with the continuous deterioration of the western world's morale, the wars in the middle east and europe, and possibly the verge of a global catastrophe that negatively affects the world wide web (the latter being the least of our concerns.) I may not be concerned with the current media attention of Astroneer and its developers, and I hold something of a solemn view on this game because of it all. Even further back before May 2, another dream of mine had me in some astroneer-esque world/game in space but everything was rough polygonal shaped models, and simplified, like the past early access releases. And I was on a third-person-view of a space station. I came back here regarding the former, but I just wanted to share something.

You can use the horizontal fixed belts instead of building the blocks to suspend the belts just a heads up they will stay up in the air as your placing them till you switch back to the normal horizontal belts

i watched my first ever tutorial vid for astroneer 2 years ago on this channel and upto today i still love this guy

I really hope it's more than a new solar system... they need to add something to the games core The game has so much to it but all that for nothing. How many games let you manipulate terrain, farm and mine in such an awesome and immersive way? I can't describe how much i enjoyed the engineering/ mining loop. I can only dream of bigger like Nms or Sc introducing this on a larger scale. However all this fun suddenly stops as soon as you unlocked all items which took abt 40 hours. After that there was no appeal to do anything... planets only for ressources will make them obsolete after you unlocked everything. So will a new solar system. There is no exploration in this game, no proper basebuilding, barely any dangers/hazards, no interaction... it feels so empty. Like you have sandbox and got the greatest shovel you could think of, but there barely any sand in the box.

You can print the 'flowers' direct on a small storage and have a detection on 'full' to pause the printer. That's the way I use to 'convert' a full container of e.g. copper to scrap. And resources like copper are unlimited when using a thumper.

I played this a long time ago but have forgotten so much about it. It's nice to remember tho.
